I bought these to use in my gdiapers because I didn't like the gdiaper brand cloth inserts and was happily surprised by how absorbent these are compared to other brands. My little one is a heavy wetter and I was having to change other brands ever hour or 2 and these ones she can go all night without a change and no leaks so far. I've heard other complain about them getting smelly because they are so absorbent but I soak them in cold water immediately after use and then put them in a wet bag until they are washed in hot then cold water and I've never had a problem.
