We have been using these on our now 5 month old daughter since she was born and I love them. They're so soft and they look so comfortable. We also have a bunch of organic cotton pre-folds (so much cheaper!), and they work fine, but the Bamboozles are much softer, more absorbent, less bulky and easier to use.
The only downside is that they take longer to dry than the pre-folds, but we just hang them on a cheap 32-prong drying rack in whatever room has the heating on and that works fine.
We use one of these with a prefold as a doubler and a wool cover at night time for our heavy wetting baby, and there's rarely a leak.
If you're in a new baby daze like we were, you might not realise that for a smaller baby, you can snap one "arm" of the diaper onto the other "arm" and then pull the front up to get a tight fit. Our daughter was 6lb 4oz and after we figured out what we were supposed to do, we had no problems getting a tight (but not too tight!) fit.
The small size seems like it will still fit for another couple of months, but I'm buying the next size up now so we're ready when she's too big for them.
If your primary concern is to keep everything dry, you might be better with diapers with some synthetic fibers (like the fuzzi bunz recommended above). However, if your primary concern is natural fibres against your baby's bottom, these are an excellent option.Get more detail about Bummis Bamboozle (Bamboo) Fitted Diaper - Size Small (5-18lbs).
